Digitized texts
Kill-instrument — a dataset that can test conjecturesdigitized full-text corpora used as countable data -- OpenITI/KITAB, ROMTEXT, and similar digitized-text projects. New A2 family.
Synopsis
LLM-authored synopsis Not an articleThis page gathers large-scale digitized full-text projects -- OpenITI and KITAB's machine-readable corpus of premodern Arabic writing, ROMTEXT's digitized Romanian texts, and comparable full-text digitization efforts -- where the point is not a single edition but a searchable, computable body of an entire textual tradition at once.
Because a digitized corpus can be searched and counted in ways a shelf of physical books cannot, it supports quantitative tests that would be impractical by hand. Benford audits Knossos applies Benford's Law, a statistical audit tool normally used to catch fraud in financial records, to see whether ancient numeral usage follows its expected distribution. Pāṇini as compression and Rongorongo as genealogy engine both treat a grammatical or symbolic system -- Sanskrit grammar, the undeciphered rongorongo script -- as if it were a compression or genealogy-tracking device, testable directly against a digitized corpus. The jurists' PageRank borrows the PageRank algorithm search engines use to rank web pages and applies it to citation patterns among jurists instead.
Interpretive synthesis over gathered records only. It creates no article, evidence, inferon, source, or estimate.
